My Favorite Project: People Paddle

The People Paddle fundraisers are like walk-a-thons, but in kayaks!
The second best thing about People Paddle, after the paddling, is the software which enables the donors to direct 85% of their money directly to the charity of their choice from a wide selection of participating non-profit groups.
The entire cost of the race, insurance, equipment, supplies, safety personnel, food and all comes in under 15% because you were generous with your in-kind donations and sponsorships and volunteered a lot of time.

Maggie in my boat, the Twilight Drifter
San Francisco Marina
These are my grandsons, Calum and Connor in red, making funny faces last January at Lake Tahoe
Connor is 10 and Calum is almost 7.

Calum's first lost tooth at Todai Restaurant, Daly City, April 28, 2007
This is the last picture taken of Maggie who passed away June 8th, 2007 at 3:15 pm.

Maggie in the leaves
Maggie was such a good girl! I wish I had a picture of her carrying her back pack. I never carried groceries or trash or laundry as long as Maggie lived! She made me feel safe and secure and hauled my heavy loads.
My lifestyle was better with Maggie!

The skulls of a Wolf, a Coyote and a Fox, for size comparison
Maggie was between the wolf and coyote size at 53 pounds.

Maggie hiding under the bed.. Looking Soooo Scared, and very cute!

Maggie on the Port berth/settee of the Twilight Drifter
Looking like a deer caught in the headlights!
Her front paws are gripping the settee because of the rocking of the boat.

A Sand Hill Crane looking cold in Brisbane Marina

Dinosaur carrot cake made and decorated with all natural things..
The decorations are made with peanut butter, chocolate, cream cheese and grape jelly.
All very natural except for those red nails and lips!
Grandson Connor Lacy's birthday cake

Maggie walking. It is very hard to take pictures of Maggie. She is terribly camera shy. This picture was taken from a long way away.

Grandma Melody is in there somewhere...
Also pictured are my ex, my plumber, my massage therapist, my doctor and my teacher as well as many of my friends.
Here is a link to Chris's school, but please ask me about it before you go there: United States Wing Chun
Before you read my resume, I would like to make a little side note, something that's called an "advocacy statement":
I had a fabulous career going and made a lot of money doing high tech electro-mechanical repairs to printing and graphic arts equipment. I both saved up a good deal of cash and bought top quality used equipment for very low prices while I worked eleven years for Eastman Kodak company. Then in 1986, along with two partners, I opened a copy and print shop called Copy Rose. Copy Rose was a growing and very stylish store. Then one summer day in 1989, after I had finally become sole owner, some weird guy who had only been out of prison for 17 days decided to come into the store and attacked my daughter and I with an ax. I have not been quite the same since. Because I was under-insured, all my money and my business were gone in a matter of weeks. It has taken me a long time to recover, which I am not embarrassed to say. The last 17 years I have worked at a series of short term positions that have allowed me to have a series of surgeries. I should be recovered to a good level of productivity again by this winter and am eager to rejoin the work force permanently and full time. Please read my resume keeping in mind that the best in this resume is what is last, rather than the transition jobs you see most recently.
